X4 is a buoyancy aid created in collaboration between Baltic Safety Products and the kayak manufacturer Melker of Sweden. The buoyancy aid offers the user good mobility and will not hinder during activity. Three adjustment options for the best fit, two in the side sections on and one at the shoulder. Pocket for soft water bottle on the back, a zippered pocket on the and an open pocket with an elastic loop to be able to attach keys or similar. Reflectors on the front and back. 50N load capacity and is classified as a buoyancy aid. A lifejacket that has a carrying capacity of 50 Newtons, is classified as a buoyancy aid and sometimes referred to as a sailing vest. They have a slightly simpler design than lifejackets. A 50N lifejacket keeps you afloat by a good margin but lacks a collar to support your head. It has the buoyancy force more evenly distributed between the front and back and therefore does not guarantee to turn an unconscious person to a supine position. 50N lifejacket is therefore recommended for swimmers who weigh at least 25kg.

The buoyancy of a lifejacket is measured in the Newton unit. A lifejacket must have sufficient buoyancy to keep the user's airways above the surface. The vests are divided into different classes depending on the amount of buoyancy, though the actual Newton's number may vary depending on the size of the vest.

Maintenance Advice
- Store in a dry and ventilated room. The buoyancy aid can withstand temperatures between -30 - +60⁰C but should not be stored in direct sunlight.
- To remove stains, wash with warm soapy water or a mild detergent. Rub very gently. Do not use chlorine or any other strong chemicals.
- Do not wash in a washing machine or dry-clean
- After use, rinse in fresh water
- Do not use a cushion
- Hang-dry in a well-ventilated place away from open flames and hot radiators.- Efter användning i saltvatten, skölj flytvästen i färskvatten.
- Häng på tork i ett torrt ventilerat utrymme, dock ej över ett elelement eller nära en öppen eld.
- Förvara i ett tort och ventilerat utrymme. Tål temperaturer mellan -30 – + 60⁰ C, men bör inte förvaras i direkt solljus eller nära en öppen eld.
- Vid behov av rengöring, använd ljummet vatten och ett milt tvättmedel. Använd ej klorin eller andra starka kemikalier.
- Får ej tvättas i tvättmaskin eller kemtvättas.
- Använd ej som sittunderlag eller kudde.
