A SUSTAINABLE ADVENTURE

The weekend of June 1–2 marked a significant milestone for us at Baltic. Together with Maria Cerboni and Anneli Pompe, we organized an unforgettable 24-hour adventure to launch our new product line, Environmental Initiative (E.I.) – an innovative range of sustainable life jackets setting a new standard for safety and environmental responsibility in lifesaving products.

An Unforgettable Weekend Aboard Gratia

The adventure began for our participants at Nya Varvet in Gothenburg. There lay Gratia, a former luxury yacht now owned by the Swedish Cruising Club Sailing Schools Foundation, awaiting departure. With its rich history and charm, Gratia provided the perfect setting to showcase our new product line, E.I., in its true element.

We had a fantastic start with an introduction to the new life jacket range and a delightful lunch before hoisting the sails and creating memories for a lifetime. The sun was high, and we enjoyed an exciting afternoon of sailing and activities such as SUP, kayaking, freediving, and aqua yoga out on the sea. In the evening, we gathered again and shared the day’s experiences.

“One thing is certain after this – I will start planning more adventures and challenge myself more.” – Izabella Amelie, influencer

After a night under the stars for some of us, Sunday began perfectly with morning yoga on deck as the sun slowly rose over the horizon and the sea remained calm. The day continued with more adventure, including SUP and kayaking, before sailing back towards Gothenburg.

Towards a Greener Future

Our launch event for Baltic E.I. was not just the introduction of a new product but also an inspiring journey highlighting the importance of sustainability and innovation in marine safety products.

At Baltic Safety Products, we have demonstrated through our Environmental Initiative that the future of life-saving products can be both safe and sustainable. By combining advanced technology with environmentally conscious material choices, Baltic has set a new standard that will impact the entire industry. The recycled life jackets reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 24% during manufacturing compared to traditional jackets made from non-recycled materials.

Participant Izabella Amelie reflected on the weekend adventure: “What a team, what a group, and what fantastic 24 hours I’ve had! One thing is certain after this – I will start planning more adventures and challenge myself more. Like before!” Being able to participate and inspire safe water experiences is an important part of our mission. This weekend aboard Gratia served as a powerful reminder that together, we can sail towards a greener and safer future.
